Airlines are adding numerous new routes to their networks as they experience an uplift in passenger demand. Here is a rundown of the latest routes:
Aegean Airlines is offering a new service from Athens to Erbil in Iraq, starting February.
Aeromexico is launching new flights between Mexico City (MEX) and Cartagena (CTG), which means it is adding a third Colombian destination.
Saudia is shifting its London service from Heathrow (LHR) to Gatwick (LGW) with a new connection between Neom Bay Airport (NUM) and LGW.
All Nippon Airways (ANA) is expanding its European network with direct flights from Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) to Istanbul Airport (IST). The service will operate three times a week.
Southwest Airlines is adding a new transcontinental route from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) to Las Vegas (LAS).
LATAM Airlines Group is set to offer a new nonstop route between Fortaleza, Brazil, and Lisbon, Portugal. Flights will be offered weekly from April 7 through October 20. This is the airline’s first direct service between northeast Brazil and Europe since 2009.
IndiGo is to launch daily flights between Kishangarh and Ahmedabad starting March 1, marking Kishangarh as the airline’s 91st domestic and 129th overall destination.
Croatia Airlines, the national airline of Croatia, has announced new operations from Zagreb Airport (ZAG) in summer 2025. New destinations include direct flights to Prague, Bucharest, Madrid, Milan and Hamburg.
Emirates has signed an interline agreement with Air Peace for passengers traveling to and from Nigeria. According to Emirates, passengers flying from Dubai to Lagos will be able to take onward connections to Asaba, Akure, Benin City, Calabar, Enugu, Ilorin, Kaduna, and Owerri.
British Airways has announced the return of direct flights between London Heathrow and Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi. These will begin from Sunday, March 30 2025, and operate four times a week.
Aer Lingus will launch direct flights from Dublin to Nashville, Tennessee, from April 12.
Air France has added four new long-haul destinations between October and December: These include Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Salvador de Bahia in Brazil, Manila in the Philippines and Malé in the Maldives. All flights operate out of Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
Hong Kong Airlines has announced plans to expand its international network with a daily service between Hong Kong and Sydney. An inaugural flight has been pencilled in for June 2025.
