Getting To Know Christina

We asked Chrsitina some questions about her life as a traveller.

What is your favourite destination and why?

Travel Blogger: Livin Pura VidaLooking back at my travel history, I’d have to say Australia. I’m on my third visit in five years and can’t seem to stay away. I love Australia for two main reasons: its diversity and lifestyle. In terms of diversity, it has barren desert, beautiful beaches, cosmopolitan cities, spectacular mountains, and tropical rainforests, plus it has animals that can’t be found in any other part of the world.

In terms of lifestyle, I think Australia has the best in the world. Especially in Manly Beach, Sydney, where I lived for a year, everyone is focused on enjoying life outdoors. Between surfing, beach volleyball, SUPing, snorkelling, wakeboarding, scenic walks, and watching the sunset over the Harbour with a cider in hand, it’s impossible to be bored.

If you could only give one single travel tip that you think would be the most helpful what would it be?

Stop thinking so much and just go. If you wait until you have everything figured out, you’ll be waiting forever. Sometimes the best things happen when you don’t have plans set in stone, are open to spontaneous adventures, and just let things play out.

What is your favourite travel related quote?

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

Who are your favourite travel bloggers and why?

I’m a huge fan of Adventurous Kate and love how she proves that solo female travel can be safe and fun. I also love Nomadic Matt for the fact that he has something to say about literally every destination I’ve ever had questions about, as well as some I’ve never even heard of.

What was the single most influential thing/moment that drove you to travel blogging?

The excitement I felt when hearing I’d inspired someone to travel, and the desire to inspire even more.

What advice you would give someone wanting to become a travel blogger?

Make sure you truly love travel blogging, put your heart into it, and don’t give up.
