1 August, 2014 will mark the opening of The Peninsular Paris more than 80 years after the first Peninsular Hotel was established in Hong Kong. Sitting on Avenue Kléber it is moments away from many of Paris iconic museums and sites.
The hotel is located in a late 19th century Haussmanian building which first opened it’s doors in 1908 as one of Paris most luxurious ‘grands hotels’ and boasts a history including the signing of The Paris Peace accord to end the Vietnam War as well as playing host to George Gershwin whilst he wrote ‘An American In Paris’.
Peninsular Hotels COO, Peter Borer, stated there would be an ‘All Things French’ celebration across all hotels during August and extending to year end in some.
For example The Peninsular Bangkok will offer sunset cruises with French canapés and Champagnes. Manila will host Filipina French artist Olivia d’Aboville as well as French themed Christmas “Joyeux Noël”. Many having celebrated Bastille Day. There will be similar experience throughout the Peninsular world.
